Find your purpose in Christ and a place to belong.

A big thank you goes to Dr. Neil Rush for finding this picture showing when our Sanctuary was where our Chapel is today. Our Chapel has had some work done over the years but you can still see where the pulpit area was when it was the old Sanctuary. A glimpse through history when we look at old photos, who knows what we’ll find next?

Following worship on Sunday, June 21, a gathering was held for the Pastor Nominating Committee to say a huge thanks for all of their hard work the past 30 months.

Our annual Church Picnic was held at Little Switzerland. Everyone had a great time and we all enjoyed the fellowship of our church family and the wonderful food that was provided. The time was spent enjoying God’s nature, Rev. Kupar’s last picnic with us, remembering highlights from the past and looking forward to future with our new pastor.

A few of our congregational members had the privilege helping with the annual kick-off festival for the summer reading program hosted by the public library. Those who volunteered were Phyllis Case, Meg Ammerman, Jill Rosenbaum, Alice Allen, Paula Rainwater and Tracy Childers. We love to help our community any way we can. This year’s program was held on Tuesday, June 2.

On May 24 we celebrated Pentecost for the birthday of the worldwide church. Our church is turning 197 years old this year. Everyone had a wonderful time together eating cake and ice cream.

On Sunday, May 17 Tallu Smith, moderator of Presbyterian Women presented gifts to our graduates: Keylee Custard and Nash Diss. Congratulations!!!

The Family of Ruth Fryman wishes to extend a huge thank you to the members of Cynthiana Presbyterian Church for making her a part of the church family. She was truly blessed by the love shown to her.

The annual Spring Gathering of the Transylvania Presbyterian Women was held on Saturday, April 18 at First Presbyterian Church in Lexington, Ky. Each church in attendance was asked to make a display of mission projects they are sponsoring. Our Main Cup was featured in the display. Members attending from Cynthiana were Tallu Smith, Meg Ammerman, Tammy & Huck Bruce.

Rev. Kupar led us in a very meaningful Maundy Thursday service on Thursday, April 2.

Everyone had an awesome time at the annual Easter Egg Hunt on March 29th following Palm Sunday Worship.

March 15 was a busy day at Cynthiana Presbyterian. During worship the church officers were installed for the year. Serving as Elders are Sherri Williams, Mike Davis and Dr. Neil Rush. Serving as Deacons are Teresa Davis, Devon Williams and David Wirebaugh. Serving as Trustee is Boyd Marx. The installation service concluded with a special prayer and laying on of hands. The Presbyterian Women sponsored a World Day of Prayer luncheon following worship. Several members recited the Lord’s Prayer in different languages and Rachel Swinford did the Lord’s Prayer in sign language as Rev. Kupar led us in speaking the Lord’s Prayer in English. Tallu Smith recited the prayer in French and Lorilyn Howie-Kipphut recited it in German. Everyone enjoyed the meal and the fellowship!

Ash Wednesday, February 18.

On February 15, the members of the congregation put on their red clothing in support of “Go Red for Women“ campaign.

On February 8th, the Youth Sunday School students with the help of their teachers helped put up winter hats and mittens by the church for the needy fortunate in our community. Through the generosity of our congregation we will be able to supply more on February 15th. We are proud of our youth in taking part in the missions of the church and spreading God’s love.
