Mission Statement

Cynthiana Presbyterian Church founded in 1829

Is an active, vital group of disciples.

The Holy Spirit leads us to minister

To the needs of our members,

To reach out to the whole community,

And to participate in the church universal.

Christ inspires us to share

Our faith, our facilities, and our resources.

In praising God, we provide Biblical preaching,

Christian education, and the sacraments.

We strive through our daily witness

To serve the Lord Jesus Christ.

This church welcomes all people

To use their God-given gifts

In His ministry.

Main Cup

The Main Cup is a mission outreach program of the Cynthiana Presbyterian Church and opened its doors on Monday, November 5, 2018.  The mission of the coffee shop is to provide a place to form relationships and serve a great cup of coffee.  We hope to meet people where they are and to nurture and develop the relationships that are formed there.

The Main Cup celebrated its 7th anniversary in 2025. It's a wonderful place to catch up with friends, meet new people, enjoy coffee, hot chocolate, lattes, etc. as well as partake in soup, sandwiches and other goodies.

The Main Cup is closed on Sundays but is open on Monday thru Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. and Saturdays from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.  Hope to see you soon at The Main Cup!

Our goal at The Main Cup, other than serving a delicious cup of coffee is to continue to support local organizations and missions who are in need every month, as well as our house charity Living Waters for The World!  The photo is of the latest recipient, Harrison County Schools Family Resource Center. Thank you to everyone who continues to support our Friday Missions!

The Main Cup is now selling merchandise. Come check out the new t-shirts, mugs, and stickers!

Rev. Scot Robinson - Minister

Cellphone: 606-437-4578

Pastor Scot graduated Vanderbilt Divinity school and has served in pastoral ministry for nearly a decade, most recently as pastor of First Presbyterian Church in Pikeville, Kentucky.

Growing up and serving in eastern Kentucky instilled in Scot a deep appreciation for close-knit communities and the beauty of God’s creation. He considers it a privilege to accompany people through life’s most meaningful moments and believes that these ordinary, sacred moments are where the grace of God is often most clearly revealed.

Scot and his wife Kelli, enjoy making music together, spending time outdoors, and exploring the beauty of Kentucky with their dog, Herbie. They are grateful for God’s call to ministry and are excited to join the congregation at Cynthiana Presbyterian in worship service, and all of the shared work of following Christ together.
